This gem belongs to the isometric crystal system and forms in metamorphic and alluvial environments. 

Its brilliance often rivals that of ruby and sapphire, yet it remains far rarer in fine quality. Spinel is found primarily in Myanmar (Mogok), Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Tajikistan, and Vietnam. • Red Spinel: Ring finger, right hand — Tuesday, in gold or copper
• Blue / Lavender Spinel: Middle finger, right hand — Saturday, in silver or panchdhatu
